Carved and raised gesso panel, water-gilded and burnished by hand in 22 carat moon gold leaf of tiger moths against a background of ferns. The moth’s bodies and wings are burnished to create a mirror like effect to the gilding.
Moon gold leaf is a beautiful warm pale shade of gold; a blend of gold, palladium and a small amount of silver.
