A beautiful and unique red admiral butterfly and ivy wall panel. Hand carved, raised and painted onto the gesso wood. The panel is then water-gilded by hand and burnished (to add shine to the butterfly’s wings and body) in 22 carat gold leaf. The burnished moth creates a mirror shine to the gilding where it has been burnished, which creates a shimmer as you move your eyes across the picture.
